「007 First Light」正式発表。「ヒットマン」シリーズで知られるデベロッパの最新作は，6月7日開催「IOI SHOWCASE」で詳細を発表

　「ヒットマン」シリーズで知られるIO Interactiveは本日（2025年6月3日），2020年に開発をアナウンスしていた「Project 007」の正式タイトルが「007 First Light」であることを明らかにした。
　また，ショーケースイベント「IOI SHOWCASE」を6月7日10：00から配信し，「007 First Light」「MindsEye」「HITMAN World of Assassination」などの情報を発表する予定だ。


　2000年に「Hitman: Codename 47」をリリースして以降，一貫してヒットマンシリーズにこだわって開発を続けていたという印象が強いIO Interactive。現在は，本拠であるデンマークのコペンハーゲンに加え，スウェーデンのマルメ，スペインのバルセロナ，トルコのイスタンブール，そしてイギリスのブライトンに開発支部を抱えており，EON ProductionsおよびMGMからライセンスを受けた本作の開発に取り組んできた。

　「007 First Light」の詳細については，ほとんど明らかにされていないが，ジェームズ・ボンドが英国秘密情報部のスパイとして「00」（ダブルオー）の称号を得るまでの過程を描く，本作オリジナルのストーリーが展開されるようだ。「最初の光」（First Light）という正式タイトルも，ボンドの起源を描く内容を示唆していると考えられる。

　プラットフォームについては，Nintendo Switch 2向けのリリース（関連記事）が4月2日にアナウンスされており，その開発も終盤に差し掛かりつつありそうだ。「Summer Game Fest」や「IOI SHOWCASE」での詳細発表が期待される。
