バス運転シム「Bus Bound」，4月30日リリースを発表。架空の都市でバスの交通網を整備し，利用者や歩行者にやさしい理想の都市へと変えていく

　Saber Interactiveは，バス運転シミュレーションゲーム「Bus Bound」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S）を2026年4月30日（日本時間5月1日）にリリースすると発表した。公開されたトレイラーでは，3つの拡張パックが含まれるシーズンパスもリリース予定であることが明らかにされている。



　「Bus Bound」は，これまで「Bus Simulator」シリーズを開発してきたオーストリアのstillalive studiosが手がける新作だ。アメリカのテネシー州ナッシュビルをモデルにした架空の地方都市エンバービルを舞台に，プレイヤーはバスの運転に加えて，バスや運転手の管理，路線とバス停を整備しながら，公共交通網を発展させ，利用者や歩行者にやさしい都市へと変えていく。


　ゲームエンジンにはUnreal Engine 5が採用されており，車両の重量感やサスペンションの動きなどは物理演算で挙動に反映されている。さらに，行き交う車両数によって渋滞も発生するなど，“生きた都市”が描かれている。


　本作には，北米最大級のバス製造メーカーであるNew Flyerや，スクールバスで有名なBlue Birdなどの公式ライセンスを受けた車両10台を含む，計17台のバスを収録している。バスごとのダッシュボードやスイッチ類の配置やデザインに加え，計器の動きも再現されているという。カラーリングやデザインもカスタマイズが可能とのことだ。


　Steamストアページの情報によると，現時点では日本語には対応していないようだ。体験版が配信されているので，気になる人は体験版を遊んでみるといいだろう。
