［GDC 2025］開発者が選ぶGDCアワードは「Balatro」が4冠達成！ インディーの祭典，IGFアワードと共に結果をまとめてお届け

　アメリカ・サンフランシスコで開催中のGDC 2025において，現地時間2025年3月19日に「Game Developers Choice Awards」（GDCアワード）と「Independent Games Festival Awards」（IGFアワード）の授賞式が行われた。


　ゲーム開発者や業界関係者の投票によって受賞作が選ばれるGDCアワードは，開発者同士が互いの功績を称える場でもあり，GDCのメインイベントの1つとなっている。
　今年は「The Game Awards 2024」や「D.I.C.E. Awards 2025」でGOTY（Game of the Year）を獲得した「アストロボット」と，「Golden Joystick Awards 2024」のGOTYに選ばれた「黒神話：悟空」が最多7部門にノミネートされ，注目を集めていた。


　GDCアワードのGOTYを受賞したのは「Balatro」だ。ローグライク要素を取り入れたデッキ構築型ポーカーゲームで，Best Design，Best Debut，Innovation Awardも受賞し，4冠を達成した。
　そのほかの受賞結果では，日本のメーカーやスタジオの作品も存在感を放った。「アストロボット」がBest TechnologyとBest Audioを，「メタファー：リファンタジオ」がBest Narrativeを，そして「ファイナルファンタジーVII リバース」がAudience Awardを受賞している。

　IGFアワードでは，5部門にノミネートされていた「Consume Me」がSeumas McNally Grand Prize（最優秀賞）を受賞。さらにNuovo AwardとWINGS Awardも獲得し，3冠を達成した。
　同作は，開発者であるJenny Jiao Hsia氏の個人的な経験をもとにしたダークユーモアの効いた作品であり，正式リリース前にもかかわらず，その独自の表現が高く評価されている。
　なお，日本の開発者による作品では「8番出口」（The Exit 8）がNuovo Awardに，「都市伝説解体センター」（Urban Myth Dissolution Center）がWINGS Awardにノミネートされ，ステージで紹介された際には大歓声が上がっていた。
