［Mac］TransGaming，Mac版「Jade Empire：Special Edition」を発売

　TransGaming Technologiesは，Macintosh版「Jade Empire: Special Edition」を発売した。同社が運営するMacゲーム専門ダウンロード販売サイト「GameTree Online」で，39.95ドルで販売されている。
　本作は，同社の「Cider」技術を用いてMacに移植されており，Intel Mac専用タイトルとなっている（PowerPCを搭載したMacでは動作しない）。また確認は取れていないが，ソフトは英語版だと思われるので，その点にもご注意を。

　Jade Empire: Special Editionは，東洋風のファンタジー世界を舞台とした，スピーディなアクションがウリのシングルプレイ専用RPG。海外では2005年にXbox版がリリースされ，かなり高く評価された「Jade Empire」（邦題 ジェイド エンパイア 〜翡翠の王国〜）に，PCならではの機能を追加した特別版にあたる。具体的には，高解像度モードの対応や，グラフィックス面の強化，「戦闘スタイル」の追加などが行われている（関連記事）。
　海外モノのRPGが好きなMacゲーマーにとって要注目の作品だ。
