「ディビジョン」シリーズの成功に貢献した開発者Julian Gerighty氏がMassive Entertainmentを退社。Battlefield Studiosへの移籍が明らかに

　UbisoftのスタジオMassive Entertainmentは，「ディビジョン」シリーズの制作に携わったクリエイター，Julian Gerighty氏の退社を公式Xアカウントで発表した。

　2016年にMassive Entertainmentに参加したGerighty氏は，同年リリースされたアクションRPG「ディビジョン」と，2019年の続編「ディビジョン2」でディレクターを務め，シリーズの成功に貢献した開発者としてファンに知られている。2024年にリリースされた「スター・ウォーズ 無法者たち」でも制作を主導し，「ディビジョン」シリーズの次回作として予定されている「Tom Clancy's The Division 3」にもディレクターとして参加すると発表されていた。


　退社の理由は明らかにはされていないが，Massive Entertainmentは「一度エージェントになれば，ずっとエージェント」として会社を去るGerighty氏を讃え，彼の作り上げた世界は今後も変わることなくプレイヤーに届けられると書き込んでいる。
　Gerighty氏の新たな移籍先としてはElectronic ArtsのBattlefield Studiosが挙げられており，今後「バトルフィールド」シリーズの制作に携わっていくことになるようだ。
